Preschool

Peyton started preschool this month and he is really loving it. I was a little worried at how he would react because he is such a "mommas boy" but he has done surprisingly well. His teacher's tell me he has great manners, is helpful and friendly with the other kids, and is he always one step ahead of what they are teaching. I am very proud of him and so glad he is enjoying school. I now have two days a week where for 2 1/2 hours I'm totally kid free and the best part is on Friday's I have 5 hours of freedom!!! Most of my time gets spent rushing home to clean house but at least I get to go it without someone making a new mess behind me!! Last Friday I even got to go to the salon to get my hair cut and have lunch with a friend. What a luxury! I do, however, find myself missing my kids while they are gone. They have both just grown up way to fast! Here are a few pictures of Peyton's first day at school.

Appendicitis-My Story

I had my appendix out a couple of weeks ago and it was horrible. I've been through two c-sections, kidney stones, and an ectopic pregnancy but I think this might have topped all of those. The doctor had to do an open appendectomy and the recovery has been difficult and, I feel, very slow! I am feeling much better now but still have limitations on what I'm able to do which is very frustrating for me. The worst part is I'm going to have a huge scare on my stomach. My other scares are a lot lower and not as noticable but this one starts at my belly button and goes down from there. I guess I'm just complaining. There are worse things that could have happened like having my appendix actually explode! I should count my blessings and be thankful for all the wonderful friends and family who called, sent flowers and food, and helped Jason and I out with the kids. A special thanks to Halley, who sat at the hospital with me because Jason was on a cross country and to Mary, who took care of the kids for me while I was in the hospital. Thanks to everyone. Here are a few pictures of some of the beautiful flowers I received:

A Star!

The Missoula Children's Theater came to Vance this summer and Kylie got the opportunity to be in "The Little Mermaid." She was one of the seahorses. It was a really fun play and she had a great time. Peyton loved watching her up on stage and every time she came out he would wave and say "hi, Kylie, hi!" I think we have a star in the making and I don't think this will be the last time we see Kylie on the stage!

Makeup Lesson

Kylie being so excited about her new makeup decided to do herself up and then got Peyton involved. Good thing daddy wasn't home!!

Four teeth gone

Kylie had four teeth pulled in the middle of August. She had new teeth coming up and the baby teeth weren't moving. The dentist pulled her teeth and she was so excited because she new the tooth fairy would be visiting. When we returned home from the dentist she quickly went to work writing a note to the tooth fairy explaning her desire for a baby puppy! (Am I ever going to get this kid to stop wanting a puppy?!! Am I going to have to give in one day?!! She is driving me crazy with this.) Anyway she ripped off a piece of paper about the size of a quarter and went to work. I questioned her about why she had such a small piece of paper and she responed "so she can carry it mom." I guess I forgot about how small that tooth fairy was! The next morning Kylie awoke to a new watch, some cool new makeup, and a letter from the tooth fairy. The letter explained how much she would have loved to bring a puppy but was unable to fulfill such a request. After I finished reading Kylie the letter, which by the way was a full sheet of paper, wonder how she carried that" Kylie said to me, "I can't believe she could even read my note, it was all over the place!" Writing on such a little piece of paper was a challenge!!

Here is Kylie without her four front teeth. It isn't the best picture but hopefully you get the idea.
